Louis Vuitton launched on November 11 their tenth edition of the City Guides for 2010. Since 1998 Vuitton has been giving us their views on fashion, design, the arts and gastronomy. Each guide highlights the latest trends and offers unique advice.

For the 2010 City Guide box, there’s a whole bunch of cities that they’ve explored for you.
The cityguides cover 32 European cities, including six new destinations: Bucharest, Glasgow, Lausanne, Manchester, Palermo and Saint-Tropez.
Furthermore there are some city’s that can be bought seperately: Paris (2010), London (2010), New York (2009), Rome (2010), Los Angeles (2010), Mumbai (2009), Miami (2009) and Tokyo (2009).
For this edition, Vuitton invited 30 famous figures to offer their perspective on a city they know and love. The actress Monica Belluci gives her addresses in Rome. The opera singer Angela Gheorghiu recounts her trips back and forth to Bucharest. The sommelier Georges dos Santos reveals a few secrets of Lyonnais gastronomy.

The store was divided in three sections: Paris, Rome and Barcelona, each with their own type of bites and drinks. Paris had Veuve Clicquot champagne, foie gras and other little bites, Rome had white wine and small tomato mozzarella bites. Barcelona had red wine.
This was a nice evening at Louis Vuitton’s, the cityguides have brought me quite some good ideas to go whenever I’m traveling and they might give these ideas to you too. You can buy them at your local Louis Vuitton store, or online. The box costs € 95 ($ 145) and the guides cost € 25 ($ 38).
