Just saw “The Way Back” earlier this week, since it has premiered on January 13th in The Netherlands. It’s definitely a must see film. Especially for the great landscapes and Peter Weir’s great way of filming it. A brief introduction: The Way Back is a war drama film about a group of prisoners who escape from a Siberian Gulag camp during World War II, following their journey as they struggle their way to freedom in the most extreme weather circumstances. The great thing about it is that it’s based on a true story.
Burkhard Dallwitz did the scoring for this film. Probably one of the most important things in a film that can draw my attention is the score. Towards the end of the film the group had made their way to “Tibet“, at this point of relief a very emotional melody comes in, and the camera starts floating over Tibet’s great landscape. But the scoring also knows some threatening and soothing melodies like “Interrogation” and “Lake Baikal“. Get your tickets to see this beautiful motion picture and if you like the score by Burkhard Dallwitz like I did, get it here!

A must see movie, with a great cast. Hanna played by the very talented Saoirse Ronan (Atonement, The Lovely Bones) is a girl who was brought up in a forest in Finland while being trained to be an assassin by her father Erik played by Eric Bana (The Hulk, Munich), completely isolated from the real world, the people and life, she eventually yearns to be in the real world. So, she does it and is then set on a mission to kill a woman called Marissa Wiegler played by Cate Blanchett (The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, The Lord Of The Rings). But they begin to chase her when they find out that she’s not this innocent little girl, but actually a killing machine.
The film is directed by Joe Wright who also directed the beautiful “Atonement” and The Chemical Brothers are scoring this epic film. Hanna will open nationwide on Friday, April 8th 2011.
Check out the trailer below.
]]>In the video above we can see Miss. Portman behind the scenes as she gives us some stunning footage directed by Peter Lindbergh.

Here’s a song you shouldn’t be sleeping on from Laws, together with G.O.O.D Music’s own CyHi Da Prynce who was also on this and two other G.O.O.D Friday tracks. I just can’t stop listening to this song, it’s dope. Be on the look out for their Dedication mixtape.
Bringing good music back to the game.
Also, there are a lot of good songs on Laws’ earlier mixtape. Listen or download.
